Helping us lead the way in care

Healthcare Assistant

As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll look after our patients across various wards and help us provide them with the best possible care. Working with other Caregivers and specialists, your skills and experience will help ensure our patients’ needs are met.

Department and roles

Ambulatory

On our Ambulatory and Outpatient wards, you’ll be helping us look after patients who don’t need overnight care, in a safe, effective and timely manner. The Ambulatory team is focused on creating a suitable environment for the promotion of health and disease prevention, as well as initial diagnosis and ongoing treatment of acute, chronic and minor illness, disease and injury.

Inpatient

As part of our inpatient team, you’ll assist other Caregivers in providing exemplary care in our acute care wards across our four clinical specialities. You’ll also be an integral part of the Caregiver team, contributing to delivering a positive patient experience while exploring opportunities to learn and develop yourself.

Critical Care

In the ICU and AAU, you’ll work closely with nurses and take ownership of a wide variety of direct patient care tasks for which you’ll be trained. The contributions HCAs make on a daily basis support safe and effective care, and ensure a positive experience and outcomes for Cleveland Clinic London patients.

Perioperative

Working in Perioperative means that you’ll assist our Theatres and other Perioperative teams (Endoscopy, PACU, Anesthesia, Day Surgery, Cath Lab), covering a range of surgical specialties such as Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Orthopaedics, Colorectal and Urology. You’ll also contribute to the support and monitoring of patients using our state-of-the-art facilities, and identify ways in which their wellbeing could be improved.
